Adam AS is the first human being, father of all mankind and of the prophets. Allah created him from clay with His hands, commanded the angels to prostrate to him, and placed him and Hawa AS in Jannah until Iblis, who refused to prostrate, led them to eat from the forbidden tree. He was a prophet but not a messenger. On the night of al-Mi'raj he was the first prophet to greet the Prophet ﷺ, in the first heaven, as "righteous son." On the Day of Judgment mankind will come to him first seeking intercession, and he will send them on until they reach the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ grounded the equality of all people in their descent from Adam, at the Conquest of Makkah and the Farewell Hajj.

Father of all mankind; Jibril AS introduced him to the Prophet ﷺ during al-Mi'raj as "your father Adam."
“O children of Adam! We have provided for you clothing to cover your nakedness and as an adornment. However, the best clothing is righteousness. This is one of Allah's bounties, so perhaps you will be mindful.”
This ayah addresses "the children of Adam" directly, recalling Adam (AS) and his descendants' need for the clothing given by Allah.
“O children of Adam! Do not let Satan deceive you as he tempted your parents out of Paradise and caused their cover to be removed in order to expose their nakedness. Surely, he and his soldiers watch you from where you cannot see them. We have made the devils allies of those who disbelieve.”
This ayah recalls Satan's deception of Adam (AS) and Hawa, causing their nakedness to be exposed in the Garden.
