Abu Umayya ibn al-Mughira

Abu Umayya ibn al-Mughira was the oldest man in Makkah when the Quraysh rebuilt the Ka'bah before the Prophet ﷺ's mission. When the clans came to the brink of bloodshed over who would set the Black Stone, he proposed that the next man to enter decide, and it was the young Muhammad ﷺ, who had every clan lift the stone together on a sheet. He was the father of Abdullah ibn Abi Umayyah RA by Atikah bint Abd al-Muttalib, and of Umm Salamah RA.
