عبد الله بن أرَيْقط
Abdullah ibn Urayqit was the guide the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr RA hired to lead them by back paths on the Hijrah, meeting them after their three nights in the Cave of Thawr. He wrote the guarantee of safety the Prophet ﷺ gave Suraqah ibn Malik. There is no proof that he was a Muslim, yet he could have earned a hundred camels by betraying them; Imam al-Nawawi cited this as evidence that one may rely on a trustworthy non-Muslim when needed.
