Abdullah ibn Unays al-Juhani RA

Abdullah ibn Unays al-Juhani RA was the Companion the Prophet ﷺ sent alone in Muharram of 4 AH against Khalid ibn Sufyan al-Hudhali, chieftain of Hudhayl, who was raising an army against Madinah. Recognizing Khalid by the terror the Prophet ﷺ said he would feel, he prayed Zuhr while walking, the first form of the prayer in fear, then joined Khalid's company and killed him. The Prophet ﷺ gave him a staff as a sign between them on the Day of Judgment, and he was buried with it. Hudhayl's desire for revenge led to the treachery at al-Raji.
