The tribe of Fatima bint al-Dahhak, a woman the Prophet ﷺ proposed marriage to in the 8th year of the Hijrah.
The Prophet ﷺ proposed to and married Fatima bint al-Dahhak of the tribe of Kulab. On the night he entered upon her, she said, "I seek Allah's refuge from you." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "You have sought refuge in One who is very great. Go back to your family," using indirect language (kinaya) rather than the word "divorce" itself, and the marriage was never consummated. Why she said what she did is not recorded; theories include that she was mentally unwell (per Ibn Hajar) or that jealous relatives had told her to say it without her understanding the consequence.
