وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُم بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِن بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرًا
“He is the One Who held back their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of [Hudaybiyyah, near] Makkah, after giving you the upper hand over [a group of] them. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.”
Revealed regarding the failed surprise attack: Allah held back both sides' hands from bloodshed in the valley of Hudaybiyyah.
