A small mountain on the Muslim army's left flank at Uhud, called Jabal Aynayn at the time of the battle; it was later renamed Jabal al-Ruma ("Mountain of the Archers") in commemoration.
The Prophet ﷺ posted fifty archers here to guard the one strategic weakness in the Muslim line, instructing them not to leave their positions regardless of the battle's outcome until he sent for them.
