A pond in the borderlands northeast of Madinah, near the territory of the tribe of Quda'a, which gave its name to the Sariyya of Dhat al-Salasil fought nearby in 8 AH. Not to be confused with the later Battle of Dhat al-Salasil during Umar ibn al-Khattab RA's caliphate against the Persians, named instead for the chains binding its many prisoners.
