This unnamed young man of the Ansar owned a camel that the Prophet ﷺ met in one of the gardens of the Ansar, according to Abdullah ibn Ja'far RA, who was riding with him, in a report in Abu Dawud. The camel came up to the Prophet ﷺ making its noises, tears flowing from its eyes. The Prophet ﷺ asked for its master, and the young man came forward and said, "I am its owner." The Prophet ﷺ told him, "Do you not fear Allah with regards to these creatures that do not speak? For verily, it has complained to me that you do not feed it properly, and you beat it and overwork it."
