This unnamed woman of the Quraysh, perhaps the wife of Abu Jahal, was among those in Makkah who ridiculed the Prophet ﷺ and the believers. Once, when no new revelation had come to him for weeks or months, she said to the Prophet ﷺ, "I see that your shaytan has abandoned you. I don't see you recite anything new," calling Jibril AS a devil. Her words grieved the Prophet ﷺ deeply. Allah then revealed Surah al-Duha: "Your Lord has not abandoned you, nor has He detested you. The Hereafter is better for you. And your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied" [93:3-5].
