This unnamed man had sold something to Abu Jahal in Makkah, and Abu Jahal kept putting off paying him. According to Ibn Ishaq, Abu Jahal finally told him, as a joke, to go and collect the money from Muhammad ﷺ. Not realizing it was a joke, the man went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Abu Jahal owes me money, and he has told me to come and collect it from you." The Prophet ﷺ told him not to worry, took him by the hand, walked straight to Abu Jahal's house and knocked. When Abu Jahal opened the door, the Prophet ﷺ told him to give the man his money at once. Abu Jahal went pale and trembling, ran inside, and threw the money at the man without counting it. He later said that he had seen behind the Prophet ﷺ a herd of furious camels ready to attack him.
