An Emissary of Banu Ghatafan

This unnamed man was the emissary of Ghatafan, the second-largest force besieging Madinah at the Trench in 5 AH, who offered that Ghatafan would withdraw for a third of Madinah's harvest. The Prophet ﷺ consulted Sa'd ibn Mu'adh RA and Sa'd ibn Ubadah RA, who refused to humble themselves unless it was a command from Allah, and the emissary was sent back refused.
