This unnamed man was one of about four hundred people of the tribe of Muzayna who came to Madinah in 9 AH to accept Islam. When they were ready to return home, the Prophet ﷺ told Umar RA to give them the provisions they needed for the journey. Umar said he had only a single bag of dates, but when the Prophet ﷺ repeated the command, he trusted in Allah and agreed. At home he found his room filled with dates to the ceiling. All four hundred came and filled their sacks, and this man, the last to leave, said, "When I exited, I looked back, and I saw the pile was just as it was when we began taking our provisions from it."
