This unnamed man was one of the Aws who pleaded with the Prophet ﷺ for Banu Qurayza, their old allies, after the tribe surrendered in 5 AH, asking that they be spared as the Khazraj's ally Banu Qaynuqa had been. The Prophet ﷺ appointed their own leader Sa'd ibn Mu'adh RA to judge, and as they brought him the Aws urged mercy, until Sa'd said that now he would not care for anyone's blame in the cause of Allah.
