تميم الداري
Tamim al-Dari RA was a Christian of a northern Arabian tribe who came to Madinah as a delegate in 9 AH, the Year of Delegations, and became a Muslim. He is known above all for the hadith of al-Jassasah in Sahih Muslim, narrated by Fatima bint Qays RA: the Prophet ﷺ gathered the people to relate Tamim's account of being shipwrecked on an island and meeting a chained giant who called himself al-Masih, saying it agreed with what he had taught about the Dajjal. Although the hadith is in Sahih Muslim, a small minority of scholars have questioned it for details unique to it.
