Suwayd ibn Ghafala

Suwayd ibn Ghafala al-Ju'fi was a Kufan Successor who accepted Islam in the Prophet ﷺ's lifetime and heard his letter read to his people, but whose companionship is not established (al-Dhahabi). He fought at Yarmouk and narrated from Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali RA. One report has him say he was born in the Year of the Elephant, the same year as the Prophet ﷺ; another, from al-Sha'bi, has him say he was two years younger.
