Abu Na'ila
Silkan ibn Salama RA, Abu Na'ila, was a Companion and the foster brother of Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf, the poet and leader of Banu al-Nadir who had turned against the Muslims. In 3 AH he joined Muhammad ibn Maslamah RA in the mission to kill Ka'b, arranging the night meeting at Ka'b's fortress; Ka'b came down trusting his foster brother, and Abu Na'ila's praise of his perfume gave the Companions their moment to strike.
