Shas ibn Qays was the messenger of Banu Qurayzah to the Prophet ﷺ during the siege of their fortress in 5 AH, after they broke their treaty at the Trench. He asked first for exile with their wealth, as Banu al-Nadir had received, then for their lives alone, and the Prophet ﷺ refused both, accepting only unconditional surrender. The tribe then asked for Abu Lubabah RA as an adviser.
