سام
Sam was a son of Nuh AS, regarded in tradition as the father of the Semitic peoples, from whom both Ibrahim AS and Qahtan are said to descend through different branches, as al-Tabari notes. A hadith in al-Tirmidhi calling him the father of the Arabs is graded weak by some.
