Salama ibn Hisham RA

Salama ibn Hisham RA fought at Mu'tah in 8 AH. On the army's return, rumour-mongers mocked its survivors as men who had run away from the path of Allah, and Salama stopped leaving his house, until the Prophet ﷺ, noticing his absence from the masjid, learned why from his wife and defended the survivors as men who would return to fight again.
