شبتاي تسفي
Sabbatai Zevi was a Jewish figure whom many believed to be the messiah, leading the largest messianic movement in Jewish history. He later converted to Islam, and the Ottoman sultan gave him the title Mehmed Effendi and made him his doorkeeper. His wife Sarah and around 300 families of his followers also converted, becoming the Dönmeh, a group that survives among Turkish Muslims, though their beliefs are not Sunni Islam.
