رُفَيْدَةُ الأسلمية
Rufayda al-Aslamiyyah RA was a woman of the Companions who acted as a nurse. She volunteered to look after the wounded and care for the sick, and she kept a tent that served as a small hospital. After the Battle of Khandaq in 5 AH, Sa'd ibn Mu'adh RA, wounded in the arm by an arrow, was cared for in her tent. He was still lying there, bleeding, some twenty-five days later, when the men of his tribe came to carry him on a mule to pass judgment on Banu Qurayza. He died of the wound soon afterward.
