Qubath ibn Ashyam RA

Qubath ibn Ashyam RA, of Banu Ya'mar ibn Layth, was a Companion born shortly before the Prophet ﷺ, whose testimony helps date the Prophet ﷺ's birth to the Year of the Elephant. Asked by Uthman RA whether he was akbar than the Prophet ﷺ, a word meaning both older and greater, he answered that the Prophet ﷺ was greater but he himself was born earlier, and that he had seen the droppings of the birds turned green (al-Tirmidhi).
