An old man of Najd (identified by Ibn Abbas as Iblis)

According to a weak narration, Iblis came to the Quraysh's secret council at Dar al-Nadwa before the Hijrah in the guise of an old man of Najd, as Ibn Abbas said. He rejected proposals to imprison or exile the Prophet ﷺ and approved Abu Jahl's plan that every clan share in killing him. Allah answered their plot, and the Prophet ﷺ emigrated that night [8:30].
