نَسِيبَةُ بنتُ كَعْب
Nusaybah bint Ka'b RA was one of the two women who pledged protection to the Prophet ﷺ at the Second Pledge of Aqabah, and she lived up to it. She fought at Uhud in 3 AH, receiving more than twelve wounds, and was present at the Pledge of Ridwan. Her son, a commander under Khalid ibn al-Walid RA, was killed before her eyes by Musaylimah in the Wars of Apostasy, and in her sixties she fought the Romans at Yarmouk, where she lost her hand.
