This group was a delegation of new Muslims from Najran sent to Madinah after the whole province accepted Islam without a fight when Khalid ibn al-Walid RA came in early 10 AH. The Prophet ﷺ questioned them sharply to test their faith, and they passed. Asked the secret of always defeating their attackers, they said they never fought among themselves once they had decided, and never wronged others.
