This woman was a non-Muslim client of the family of Abd al-Muttalib whom Hatib ibn Abi Balta'ah RA paid to carry a secret letter to the Quraysh before the Conquest of Makkah in 8 AH. She hid it in her braids, but the Prophet ﷺ, informed from heaven, sent Ali RA and al-Zubayr RA to Rawdat Khakh, and she handed it over when they insisted. Since she had not knowingly plotted against the Muslims, it is assumed she was let go.
