The Mashitah was the hairdresser of Pharaoh's daughter, a believer whose story Jibril AS told the Prophet ﷺ on the night of al-Isra wal-Mi'raj when he smelled a sweet fragrance. When she dropped the comb and said "Bismillah," she declared that Allah was the Lord of Pharaoh too, and Pharaoh had her children thrown into a boiling cauldron one by one; when she hesitated over her baby, the child spoke to urge her on, and she followed. Her name is not preserved.
