This was one of the chieftains of the Jewish tribe of Banu al-Nadir in Madinah in 4 AH. When the Prophet ﷺ came to their fortress to ask their share of a blood money payment and was seated against its wall, this chieftain proposed dropping a stone on him. The Prophet ﷺ was informed of the plot and left, then sent Muhammad ibn Maslamah RA to give the tribe ten days to leave Madinah, which led to their siege and expulsion.
