By a weak report, Fudalah ibn Umayr al-Laythi RA was a young man of Banu Layth of Kinanah who, enraged at the Conquest of Makkah in 8 AH, crept up behind the Prophet ﷺ during tawaf with a hidden dagger. The Prophet ﷺ turned, called him by name, laughed at his claim that he was only remembering Allah, and placed his hand on his chest. Fudalah said that from that moment no one in the world was more beloved to him, and he accepted Islam.
