Fudala RA was a Companion on the Expedition of Tabuk in 9 AH, who narrated the Prophet ﷺ's du'a over the exhausted animals on the way home, asking Allah to carry them over land and sea, after which the animals reached Madinah full of strength. Years later, sailing on the campaign to Cyprus under Mu'awiyah RA around 28 AH, he understood the words "over the land and in the ocean" as its fulfilment.
