Fartanah was one of the two singing girls of Abdullah ibn Khatal who sang satires about the Prophet ﷺ in Makkah. At the Conquest of Makkah in 8 AH both were excluded from the amnesty; Ibn Ishaq says one was killed and the other fled and was pardoned, and by other reports Fartanah was the one killed.
