Dawud AS

Dawud AS was a prophet and messenger of Allah who established a kingdom and was given the Zabur, a book of praise without law. The Prophet ﷺ said Dawud was a shepherd when he was sent, as Musa AS and he himself had been, and that Dawud earned his living by the work of his own hands as an ironsmith and carpenter, Allah having taught him to make armour. When Adam AS was shown his descendants, he marvelled at a bright light among them and was told it was his son Dawud.
