This unnamed man was one of the custodians of the idol al-Uzza. After the Conquest of Makkah in 8 AH, the Prophet ﷺ sent Khalid ibn al-Walid RA to destroy it. When the custodians saw Khalid coming, this man hung an axe around the idol's neck and cried, "O Uzza! You protect yourself! I have to flee!" All of the custodians fled. Al-Uzza did nothing, and Khalid destroyed it.
