An Unnamed Companion (Witnessed the Prophet's ﷺ Wudu at Tabuk) RA

This unnamed Companion narrated one of the many rulings of fiqh that come from the Expedition of Tabuk in 9 AH. He said, "I saw during the Battle of Tabuk, the Prophet ﷺ did wudu only once-once," washing each limb a single time. From this, scholars learn that washing each limb once is permissible. The Prophet ﷺ usually washed each limb three times, but water was scarce at Tabuk.
