Atiyyah al-Qurazi RA was a boy of Banu Qurayza at the time of the tribe's surrender in 5 AH. Under the judgment passed on the tribe, the grown men were executed, while those who had not reached puberty were spared. Atiyyah, who later accepted Islam, narrated: "I was a boy that was spared that day because I didn't have hair," meaning that only the adult men were executed.
