This unnamed man of the Ansar at Badr in 2 AH found Abu al-Bukhturi, whom the Prophet ﷺ had ordered spared, and offered to take him prisoner. When Abu al-Bukhturi refused to surrender without his friend and charged, the Ansari killed him in self-defence, and the Prophet ﷺ excused him.
