This unnamed man was one of the leaders of Banu al-Nadir in 4 AH, when the Prophet ﷺ and some Companions came to their settlement to ask for help. The leaders welcomed them, seated them outside a fortress, and went inside to confer. One of them proposed seizing the moment to drop a rock on the Prophet ﷺ from the top of the wall. This man objected, "No, this is going to cause a lot of backlash." He was overruled and the plan was approved, but before it could be carried out, the Prophet ﷺ rose and returned to Madinah without a word. He later revealed that he had been warned of the plot, and the betrayal led to the expulsion of Banu al-Nadir.
