“Zayn al-Abidin”
Ali ibn al-Husayn, known as Zayn al-Abidin (d. 95 AH), was the son of al-Husayn ibn Ali RA and a great-grandson of the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "We would teach our children the maghazi just as we would teach them the Qur'an," showing how the early generations valued the seerah. His son Muhammad heard the account of the Farewell Hajj from Jabir ibn Abdillah RA.
Ali ibn al-Husayn is described as the great-grandson of the Prophet ﷺ.
