Abdullah Dhu al-Bijadayn RA, "the One With the Two Coarse Garments," was a little-known Companion whose tribe drove him out with a single garment when he accepted Islam; ashamed, he tore it in two on reaching Madinah. He died one night at Tabuk in 9 AH, and Ibn Mas'ud RA saw the Prophet ﷺ go down into his grave himself and pray, "O Allah, I am pleased with this servant of Yours, so You as well be pleased with him," and wished it were his own grave.
